10 Free & Cheap summer actitivies

I don't know about you, but my kids are officially done with camp for the summer. Part of me LOVES this time of year because we can all relax & just enjoy the rest of the summer....the other part of me knows, that the kids will be fighting like cats & dogs in T-minus 12 days...if that! So while I'm racking my brain to figure out what to do with my kids, I thought I'd share a few activities that they love.

  1. Herrs Factory Tour-Fun & free! Click HERE for all the info!
  2. $1 movies at Regal. Click HERE for all the info & locations.
  3. Delaware County has fantastic library programs all summer long.  For a complete list go HERE!
  4. We head down to the creek! I am certain that one day my children will say throwing rocks in the creek was one of their greatest childhood memories. Check some great Delaware County Parks HERE.
  5. Linvilla Orchards. We buy a bag of old produce to feed the animals and then play on the playground.
  6. Free concerts at Rose Tree Park
  7. Go down to Penn's Landing.  All summer long they have free concerts, movies, festivals & more.  Info is Here.
  8. Check out a different playground. It doesn't have to be one you have never been too, just one you don't often go too, bring a snack or lunch & hang out for a while.
  9. Kids Bowl Free!!!  Info HERE!
  10. If you're looking for a beach day, keep in mind that Sea Isle has FREE beach days on Wednesday (except July 4)! Any other day of the week, kids under 12 are free.
Keep adding to the list. What do you do with your kids for the rest of the summer?!

Gratitude List~Delaware County Library and Employment!

If you're reading this for the first time, I am writing a gratitude list, one item for everday in November until Thanksgiving....but I keep forgetting, so here are two days!

Day 8~The library!  This might seem odd, but I have spent many hours at the library with my children participating in free (or sometimes low cost) activities while I hang out with my friends and look at books!  It is a peaceful hour in my week, that is inexpensive and allows my children to grow and hopefully become good readers.

Day 9~I am grateful that my husband has a good job with benefits that allows me to find my way with my website and real estate job which allows me to be home more with my kids.  There are so many people who don't have this security right now, so I am truly, truly thankful.
