Ring in the New Year with Giggle Gang! Join us in Center Court as we kick off 2012 with our creative friends from The Community Arts Center of Wallingford.

Location: Springfield Mall, 1250 Baltimore Pike,

Reminder~FREE Playgroup Open House!!!

The 2011-2012 season will begin with a free open house on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors!
Playgroup will meet for 21 sessions, (including the free open house) October through March (any snow days will be made up in April). We meet on the second floor of the Swarthmore Community Center, Wednesdays, from 9:30am – 11:15am.

The cost is $5 per child, per session for the first two children you bring (the 3rd and 4th are free!) Season passes will also be available for purchase in October for a discounted price.

Our playgroup is for children ages 9 months – 4 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. We’ll play, sing songs, and read stories. We’ll also have occasional special activities throughout the season. Come play with us! Meet new people, make new friends, and hang out with old friends

Everyone already knows about borrowing books & movies but the Delaware County Library System as so many programs for kids...and they are all free!

Many of the libraries have published their reading programs & schedules for the fall and ours will begin sign ups next week.

Disney Store Princess Event

Visit Disney Store for an enchanting craft activity. The story begins with you... dress up your favorite Disney Princess or create a new Disney Princess, then write her "happily ever after" story.

Tomato & Pear Festival~Linvilla

Bring your whole family down to the farm for a PEARfect fun-filled day at Linvilla Orchards annual Tomato and Pear Festival! Hosted by our friends from Piccirillo Sciencetelling!


We've never had a festival quite like this before! Featuring The Bugs of Blackwood Show, plus Make and Take Home Slime and experience the Liquid Nitrogen Graham Cracker and Dry Ice activities.

Join us for real pony rides, games and contests, or play on our world-class playground. Be sure to enjoy some savory salsa, juice, pies, and other sweet treats in the Farm Market made from our very own tomatoes and pears!

You can pick your own tomatoes and pears from our fields. A wide variety will be available including heirloom Brandywine and Pineapple tomatoes or the unusual pear shaped Japanese Black Trifele tomato straight from the vine!

Home Depot Free Kid's Workshop

Saturday August 6th, Build a pencil set!

The Home Depot's Kids Workshops offer useful projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bughouse or Declaration of Independence frame kit.

The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin

Makin Music~ Free Concert Tonight at Rose Tree Park

The weather is supposed to clear up, for a nice cool evening tonight. So it is a great day to check out Makin Music at 7 pm.

The Giggle Gand presents a free World of Song Concert at the Springfield Mall.  Join World of Song’s singer-children's entertainer, Allison DeSalvo and guitarist Charlie Phillips, for a magical music festival that celebrates our global connections through song and story. Tour the world in this joyously interactive concert of international, traditional and original songs using instruments, puppets and art to delight the imagination and fill the heart with joy!
