Gratitute list Days 17-24

Yeah, really not so good with this whole posting every day thing... oh well. Here is the rest of my list!

17. My computer & high speed internet: For real dudes, love being able to reconnect/stay connected to old & new friends easily. Sometimes for sure it is a time suck but I'm working on it...so today, I'm grateful for it!

18.  Produce Junction: Because I can get my family more fresh produce than we can eat in a week & at  much lower cost.  It really helps my family eat well for less!

19. Coffee: Need I go on?

20.  Grateful that roughly 10 years ago today (exact date unknown) that I decided to skip studying for an exam instead went to a party.  10 years together, 7+ married, 2 kids, 1 dog &house later, I'd say it was pretty good choice!

21.  My brother; because he helps me out when I need a babysitter and sometimes even does yard work.

22. My sister because she is always there for me to vent to (unless its about her, then see #21) about the rest of the family and usually she agrees with me :)

23.  My car because having the new bigger car has come in handy lately.  Being able to help my friends when they call makes me happy!

24.  Having family to celebrate with today!

Gratitutude List Days 10-16 My dog, more friends & my father's estate

Yeah, I'm not so good at this every day thing. It is hard and it gets harder the more I write...because it becomes harder & harder to figure out!

Day 10~Today I am grateful for our dog Ava Belle.  She is happy when we wake up in the morning, happy to play outside, happy to sit on the couch, she is just a happy dog! I am so, so happy with our decision to adopt her and love that my kids finally have a dog.  She is really a great dog, who loves to cuddle & play.  We call her the baby because she is the newest member of our family.  Ava was found on the street and I have no idea why anyone wouldn't have been looking for her...thanks to the Delaware County SPCA for letting us have her! 

Day 11~ I am grateful for my blogging friends. Because they're awesome, give great advice and super fun! #PSMM
Day 12~I am thankful I am able to provide for my children & give them a great holiday that I wish all children could have.
Day 13~I am thankful for our new recycling container...and I'm totally serious.  It is awesome & I can fit so much recycling in it ever month.
Day 14~ I am grateful for the teachers my children have...I really, really believe they are the best and care about my kids lives.  I also know that my children are not only learning but having fun & are safe. 
Day 15~My co-workers because they encourage me to bring my son to the afternoon meeting so I can be there & gain the professional development I need to have a fantastic real estate career.  They're awesome!
Day 16~I am grateful that after 2 years and 10 months, my father's estate has officially been closed by the state of Ohio and I am hopefully done with my executrix responsibilities. About damn time.

Gratitude List~Day 10

Day 10 and I'm still going, but I have to say, it is getting harder to think about something I'm grateful for...especially in the last few days.

Today I am grateful for my home. I am grateful that I have one that keeps my family warm & safe.

Gratitude List~Delaware County Library and Employment!

If you're reading this for the first time, I am writing a gratitude list, one item for everday in November until Thanksgiving....but I keep forgetting, so here are two days!

Day 8~The library!  This might seem odd, but I have spent many hours at the library with my children participating in free (or sometimes low cost) activities while I hang out with my friends and look at books!  It is a peaceful hour in my week, that is inexpensive and allows my children to grow and hopefully become good readers. 

Day 9~I am grateful that my husband has a good job with benefits that allows me to find my way with my website and real estate job which allows me to be home more with my kids.  There are so many people who don't have this security right now, so I am truly, truly thankful.

Gratitude List~Days 5, 6 & 7

I'm a little behind on my gratitude list so here are 3 days in a row!

Day 5~ I am thankful for my awesome neighbors! I love living in a neighborhood where I can truly trust & rely on them for help. I also love that we are a tight-knit group that passes around hand-me-downs, brings over food during a time of need and we really watch out for each other & our children. We also hang out and when we do there are a ton of laughs all around, truly so thankful for you all!!!

Day 6~My siblings, they drive me crazy but I love them anyway & my kids love them! I'm also thankful that they're all somewhat close by...at least for now!

Day 7~Thankful for my friends, you're the best & I am so lucky, thankful, grateful that you're all in my life!

Gratitude List Day 4~Happy Birthday!

Today is day 4 of the gratitude list and today I am grateful for my (as of today!) 8 year old daughter!  I am thankful that she is healthy & smart, kind & generous but most of all I am thankful that I am her mother and can see her grow from a feisty little girl into an incredible big girl/young lady/almost tween.   She really is awesome and really, really great kid. 

I know she is 8 but in my heart I am truly shocked that the time has gone so quickly.  There is also a mixture of great happiness for her birthday but sadness that if the first 8 years were so fast, how fast will the next 8 years be? (Read this two ways, 1.  Driving, enough said! 2.  She'll just be getting so old!)

I love you Liv & hope you have an amazing birthday! 

Gratitude List~Marietta College

There are a few other bloggers doing this and I've seen quite a few friends on Facebook writing gratitude lists this month, leading up to Thanksgiving. I think this is a great idea...we often get caught up in our lives, the hustle & bustle, dealing with parents/children/spouse and sometimes for get the many great things in our lives. I also feel, for me anyway, I focus on the negative, it is part of my nature. So check back everyday & please leave a comment & let us know what you're grateful for...it will make us all better people!

Today I am grateful for my amazing college & the fabulous college experience I had there. Not only did I meet my husband there (lets face it that is huge!) but I made some of my very best friends there....the life long kind. Friends that have stuck by me through the birth of my children & the death of my parents...and the long blue line runs thick. 

I had the opportunity to really "find" myself there and become the woman I am today because the faculty and staff are dedicated to their educational cause.  They assisted when they could, helping me along my way & cheered my success when I was on my game! I had an alumni event tonight & it was great to hear that I am not the only one the credits the school for helping my find my way and we all loved every moment at Marietta! 


FYI, this was not a sponsored post, I truly just love my school!  Every time I see the friends I met there, I am thankful I had the opportunity that I did (and I hope my children get to experience it as well)!  My family is a large supporter of Marietta College, My husband I both went there, my father, grandmother, brother & a cousin also went there, so my blood is blue!

Today, I am grateful for my son...who is healthy, mostly happy & drives his mom crazy! All the issues & frustration are worth it when he looks at me and says, "Mommy, I just love you so, so, so much!" One of the loves of my life!

Today I am grateful for my husband.  He is a better husband and father than I usally give him credit, a great cook, very handy AND he brought home roses today for no reason.  Not to mention we have been "together" (aka we started dating) 10 years ago this month and to say it has been a crazy 10 years would be an understatement.  I'm just thankful he was there with me!
