This week was actually a pretty good week...so why only 1 picture you may ask?

Ava Belle jumped on me with muddy paws!  It was mostly a black outfit, so no harm done but didn't make for good pictures!

I love this necklace & it was (and still is) a fundraiser for a little girl named Gabby who sadly lost her battle with cancer just a few weeks ago.

Nice face...anyway, this was worn to the doctor with a kid & pto/back to school night.  I like this outfit, simple & comfy but sooooo much better than the next outfit!



 






  Anywho, I wore this dress to work on & on an interview, necklace is a gift, earrings are Lia Sophia.  I love this because its a great color & it has POCKETS!!

What I Wore Wednesday

Sorry to say I have to skip a WIWW this week.  Between taking a huge donation up to Cradels to Crayons, celebrating my baby's 4th birthday and spending the holiday weekend with family, friends & painting the porch...I have nothing to show you!  I'm hoping for an amazing week next week to make up for my bad performance this week!  Oh and lets not forget back to school!  I had to worry more about someone else's clothes this week!

What I Wore Wednesday~Come on Irene!

Today's edition of What I Wore Wednesday should be brought to you by the words sweatpants & Irene.  There wasn't much time for getting out of the fashion rut while preparing for a hurricane/tornado/flooding or dealing with a basement that was taking on water (which never happens, so we weren't super prepared!) I did have a few successes and here they are!   How did I do this week?  Any suggestions?

Please don't mind the weird stance or face, my kids started to argue and I had to step-in, mid picture...and this was the better one!  I wore this green dress with flats to the pool crab social right before Irene hit.  We had already had 13 inches (or something equally crazy) of rain so I had to wear flats.  I didn't want to wear anything too nice, it was a crab fest & my husband hit me no less than 5 times with crab, trying to get it out of the shell.  So I dressed it up with some Lia Sophia Jewelry. 



I love the combo of black, white & red.  Let's face it, I love black so adding a little red makes me feel like I've added some color!  This dress fits well, very comfortable and as you can see has pockets!!! I'm on the look out for a cute pair of red shoes to jazz it up a little more, I also carried a cute red purse too!



What I Wore Wednesday~Vaca Edition

So this was a strange week, I was on vacation at the beach, so I wore a swim suit most of the time...and shorts, because I wasn't going anywhere!



I've posted this outfit before...but check out the view, it makes the clothes look even better!





Please excuse my half chopped off head...my photographer isn't doing a great job.  Anywho, I wore this dress to work on Tuesday & its from Target, necklace is a gift, earrings are Lia Sophia.  I love this because its a great color & it has POCKETS!!

Now for a crazy change of pace, I tried on a ton of dresses while shopping this weekend, so I took a few pictures an thought I would add them as well.  The next 2 dresses I did NOT purchase...the one I did, I'm saving or another WIWW post!



I loved this dress but the size wasn't right.  The small was too small, medium was too big...plus I am trying to add more color, not grey. 





Umm, I loved this dress...I mean loved!  I didn't purchase it for a few reasons.  1.  I saw a spot that looked liked the threads were coming out.  2.  I don't have a lot of place to wear it.  3.  While the color looks pretty good on me now, after a week at the beach, I had serious doubts it would look so nice in my December whiteness.  So I left it, but I will be keeping an eye out for a similar dress!

What I Wore Wednesday!!!

I wore this dress to hang out with the kids and run to and from the pool.  I did wear a necklace and flip flops. 

This was a bad week for me, I tried to be casual and comfortable but not wear shorts and t-shirt.  I don't think what I went with was much better than a t-shirt & shorts.  Until I went out in Philly with some other blogging mom friends....then I really stepped it up!

 I wore this on the rainy day, to clean the house and run a few errands.  This is a getting out of the mom-rut fail.  I should have just worn the shorts!!! 



I feel like I made up for some really not great clothing choices this week with this outfit!  I wore this out in Philly to a really cool, low key bar called The Monkey Bar.  Capri pants from Gap, Steve Madden shoes, jewelry, Lia Sophia.  I had to use the purse as my splash of color...who cares if I can't fit more than my keys, inhaler and a credit card?  It looked cute!

Honestly, I wasn't feeling up to getting out of my rut this week.  I wanted comfortable & easy but I still tried a few times!  Let me know what you think.  




I can not even remember where I wore this dress...running errands maybe?  Either way, its a green dress, with a cami under it because it is super low cut, a Lia Sophia necklace & wedged flip flops. Comfortable and I think looks better than wearing my shorts and tanks. 





I wore my skinny jeans, rolled up, black tank, and pink & white scarf from Old Navy. 
 I wore this outfit to the movies with my daughter. 



What I Wore Wednesday!

After talking to my friend Alissa at Fun Finds for Families I decided to take part in What I Wore Wednesday, as a way of encouraging myself to not wear my typical mom uniform. At the moment, my uniform is a few pairs of long shorts & tank tops or a black swim suit at the pool! FYI, I will not put the picture of me in a swim suit online...ever!

Okay, dress number one: I wore this to a Twilight Open House for work on Thursday aka the hottest day ever.  It was purchased on sale and with a Groupon from Coldwater Creek.  I've decided I don't really like the dress because its too big, but I'll probably keep wearing it because 1.  I have it.  2.  Its super light weight so its great for these hot days.



Dress #2 was worn to work is from Old Navy as is the sweater.  You can't see it but I'm also wearing a super cute button necklace that was given to me as a gift.  I love this dress because it is also light weight and easy to wear in the summer.

I wore this outfit out to meet my friend Trina from O'Boy! Organic to start planning a Costume Swap (which will be super awesome with details to come).  I felt like this was a spin on my usual mom uniform (SEE BELOW!)but was still comfy...so I should probably keep trying to "spin" the uniform.  Oh and this mostly Old Navy too. 



My classic mom uniform for the summer...minus the scary face thing I'm doing, I feel like this picture makes me look like I just got out of prison.  I'm either going to have to find a new photographer (not my 7.5 year old daughter) or get a hair cut! This outfit is also from Old Navy minus my super awesome flip flops that are Reef and I wear them everyday.

Here are a few things I wore this week...and remembered to take a picture anyway. I'd like to thank my daughter for taking these hazy pictures of me the past few days!

I wore this for my office hours on Monday.  The sandals are from Old Navy, the dress I picked up last summer at a consignment store in Media, the little cover~no idea, the necklace is from Lia Sophia (  I had a party and got a ton of great jewelry!), sunglasses were bought in bulk from Graveyard Mall. 

This is what I wore to the office meeting.  (FYI, She took 4 photos and this was the best one...I was getting annoyed, so hot!) Shoes: Steve Maddens, Skirt is from The Limited, Shirt is in the washer :)  Necklace which you can really see is also a Lia Sophia purchase.
