Free & Super Cheap Games

Perfect for the holidays!!!

I just purchased a few Hungry Hungry Hippos travel games after MamaCheaps posted this great deal! Then she posted THIS new great printable coupon that makes the deal work too!

You're thinking awesome right? But it can get even better!!! In this weekends paper this was the $5 off Hungry Hippo Coupon but there is also a coupon for $5 Pictureka that does not specify size so you can use it on card cames! And I found a few Pictureka card games at target for $5.24 each and they had a $5 off coupon inside, so you can keep doing this deal! These make great stocking stuffers and donation to toy drive items.

Holiday gift for less than $2

So now is the time of year we start thinking about all the people we love and want to give gifts too...if you're like me, you also have to realize you love a lot of people and don't have that much time or money. So here is a simple thoughtful solution that won't break the bank.

You could make one of these very pretty Cookie Mixes in a Jar recipes or you could skip this step and try mine...which I'll be honest, not as pretty, but still tastes pretty good!

Acme

This week at Acme, these packages of Betty Crocker Cookie Mix are on sale for 99cents if you buy 10.  There are a few places to get 40cent off coupons for these cookies, like Sunday's paper.  Acme doubles the coupon to 80cents...so if you have a few coupons you can get these cookies for 19 cents.  (FYI, I purchased 5 of them yesterday for .19).

Then you take a clean, empty, label pealed off jar( I found the 24 oz jar was the best size, just a little extra room at the top) and dump your cookie mix into it.

So I know my jar isn't very pretty but I just used what I had...If I were making this for real, I would purchase a small amount of holiday fabric & ribbon.

So anyway, last step:  Add fabric & ribbon to cover the lid, don't forget to type directions and add to the card or hang by the ribbon.  If you don't like the fabric/ribbon idea, check your local dollar store, they will probably have holiday tins you can buy for $1.

What quick and easy, holiday gift ideas do you have?

Black Friday

Incase you weren't counting, there are only 2 weeks until Black Friday! Here is my problem with Black Friday, I have all...well almost all, of my holiday shopping done. I start shopping for Christmas on December 26th and save things all year long. I LOVE Black Friday though!!! The thrill of the hunt and the great deals make it hard to stay away. I will probably try to get a few great deals but I'll have to stay home for most of the day so I don't spend money. In preperation for the big event, here is a link to the "leaked" ads from many retailers. As the day approaches, you'll see more ads appear. In my experience, these ads are usually the same as the ads that come out on Thanksgiving. Target, Macy's & Lowes are already on there.

Go to  Black Friday and start preparing your deals!

Money....

I was hoping my catchy title would have tons of people flocking to my site, in hopes of getting money. That's not entirely the idea, but kind of. A few weeks ago I wrote a post about saving money. Chick Here for the original post).

Basically, I had received a few rebates and was thinking about starting a found money fund. I decided that I would do it and after a few weeks of vigilant money finding. Here are my results so far.
$15 for 2 rebates (in the original post)
$35 CASH that I found in pockets, old purses etc.
$16.07 in change....so today I found a way to make money get even better! I opened a Citizens Bank Free Checking Account at Acme in Folsom. I pay no fees, no minimum balance, just free.

BUT here is the catch... When you sign up for a Citizens Bank free checking account(at a Citizens Bank in an Acme) and a loyalty program you get a $20 ACME gift card. I signed up for the "Green Program" (in a nutshell if I use my debit card 10 times in a month I get $1 from Citizens Bank, see the associate for details!).  So I pay no money, ever, at anytime, I also got free online banking and they gave me $20 Acme gift card.    I felt as though a $20 return on my original $67 investment was pretty good.  It would take me months, years, whatever to get that money in any other account.

Also, I had to take my daughter with me and my girl Charlotte at the bank was amazing and gave her crayons & an activity book to help keep her busy.

This Citizens Bank deal is going on until August 29th so if you need a checking account get there quickly to get your $20 Acme gift card!

PS-I was in no way paid or asked to write this post, it is just my opinion of a good deal...you should discuss all the aspects of this deal with an associate at Citizens Bank to make sure this is a deal for you!

Cheap Games

There are more game coupons for super cheap games!!! Hasbro has coupons on the website so you can try to get the deal too. Notice that these couopns don't specify board game or sizes so I purchased the card game versions. I found Walmart has the cheapest games but when I was at Target I found a key chain Scrabble game on sale for $1.98. I bought 2 and used two $4 off coupons. So did I make money? No, because I used the overage to pay for the other games I purchased but in the end I got 6 games for about $1.

Cheap groceries!!!

When I went shopping at Pathmark last week I got a $5 coupon on the bottom of my receipt. So, I took my $5 coupon and coupons for I
Hunts sauce & Knorr side dishes because they're on sale. I purchased 6 cans of Hunts tomatoe sauce, 3 packages of Knorr sides & 2 packages of pasta. All were on sale for 77 cents.

Total before coupons- just under $12. My total after= 70 cents!!!
I had the $5 off, and all my coupons doubled. I have to admit, this is the best deal I've ever gotten so I'm pretty excited about it.
