Things you should know:
1. The personal shoppers who pack your bag are trained to pick the freshest fruits & veggies (unless you specifically say you want say a green banana!)
2. You can use COUPONS~you just give them to the driver when they drop off your food, you're billed after delivery.
3. Peapod does not pick up food/produce from the local Giant, they get everything from a temperature controlled warehouse, so they do not have everything that is in your local Giant store, but they do have a lot & the most popular sizes & brands.
4. You can have a virtual grocery list saved online, no need for one one fridge and you can download the Peapod app to your smart phone and then scan the barcode of the item you need more of!
5. You input your Giant card and you still get Gas credits & Giant A+ (more info on this in another post!) credited to your card.

There is literally so much more I learned but I'll post more tomorrow. This looks like a great service for anyone who has a hard time getting to the grocery store (ie, pretty much anyone because who wants to go to the grocery store). The biggest thing I came away with was the commitment to customer service and if you do not like a product that the personal shoppers chose for you, call the customer service number for a refund!

After a few weeks of super boring coupon weeks, this week at Acme is not bad! My favorite is the 50 bonus Box Tops. I grabbed 6 bags of Chex Mix (because it always makes a nice snack for parties) and I also recieved $3.50 off my next purchase because I bought 5! There are a few good internet coupons too. This means even if you don't get the newspaper, you can get the deal as well.

This week there is a great donation item at ACME. If you buy 10 cans of Green Giant Veggies, you get an automatic $5 off. This makes the canned veggies 39 cents with out coupons! I have a .50/2 coupon which should make these free. Other than some donation items, we won't be going to the grocery store. We're heading to BJs for coffee & olive oil.

We will be taking desserts to any party we attend for the next 2 years.   There is a coupon for $1 off Grande Chips in the 9/12 SS and some of the bags of chips have a buy 2 bags of chips get a free 2 litter coupon on it.  There is a $1 off Mentos (which is on sale this week for $1) in the 10/3 Smart Source

Great Giant Deal-No Coupons Needed!

Giant has a deal this week that if you buy 5 items (certain products of course) you get $5 off instantly.  I bought the above pancake mix at 2 for $3, the jelly was also 2 for $3.  My total was $7.50- $5 off for buying 5=$2.50.  Not a bad deal for 4 boxes of pancake mix & jelly (and this is the 32 oz, so the big one). 

I also used 2 coupons.  $1 off the purchase of 2 Hungry Jack that was in the Red Plum coupon insert on 5/23.  So I paid 50 cents!!!

Grocery Match-ups...

This is a great week for snacks...I bought a ton of cereal because it was 40 cents. I'll keep some for my kids to snack on or as a treat but I'll also donate a lot of it.

I purchased; 11 boxes of cereal, 7 yogurts, 2 go-gurts, 4 bisquicks, 5 golden graham treats and 3 packages of cheese for $23.57 Plus I received an offer to fill out a survey and get $2 off my next order.  Also, I promise I bought veggies for my family, I just go to Produce Junction. (My brother also wants me to add that I forgot the milk...so we have a lot of cereal and not much milk!!!)
