SPCA Pets of the Week

I am so excited to partner with the SPCA to help them advertise the Pets of the Week in 2012-most of you know my dog is adopted from the Delaware County SPCA & want to help make sure the animals featured find great homes with loving families!

Lucy; Dilute Calico
Medium Young Adult Female Cat Pet ID: 41764

Young Lucy, a striking dilute calico, looks like a very dainty cat, but since she’s so easy-going, she’s truly anything but dainty! So, don’t let the proper appearance and beautiful markings fool you. Lucy came to the Delco SPCA when her owner could no longer care for her in late April. It’s now January, and she’s just desperate for a furever home after all this time. Lucy would be best suited to a home with a patient owner who realizes that sometimes kitties need time to feel safe and secure before they show their true loving nature. Lucy will blossom again with love and patience, so please consider giving her a second chance to find a furever home that really is forever. In the Delco SPCA’s January adoption specials, Lucy is one of the Adoption Center’s “Most Wanted Snowflakes,” which means she’s just a $20.12 adoption fee throughout the month of January! Hurry in and meet little Lucy today!

Baby Girl: Boxer
Medium Young Female Dog Pet ID: 48132

Baby Girl is a sweet, loving Boxer that is eager to find a loving forever home. This poor gal was turned over by her previous owners. It’s hard to know why anyone would give up on this brindle beauty because she’s an all-around great dog. Aside from being a little hand-shy — most likely the result of someone not treating her very kind in her previous life — she is friendly with other dogs, cats and could live with children over the age of 7. Come meet this adorable girl to see if she might be the dog you have been waiting for. Baby Girl will win you over in no time with her gentle ways. Baby Girl is already spayed and up-to-date on vaccines so she's ready to go home with you today.

Hours for adoption are Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Throughout the year, the Delco SPCA is offering an Alley Cat Special in which a cat can receive a physical exam, spay/neuter, necessary vaccinations and FeLV/FIV combo test for just $75. Call 610-566-1370 option 3 to book an appointment for your cat or an alley cat today.
