Things I Don’t Do.

I read THIS blog post, called things I don’t do.  I loved it and thought it would be fun post for here.  This is supposed to be fun, so please no rude or mean comments.  You might do some (or all) of these 10 things and thats fine...I'm sure there is something I do that you don't, which is also fine!  Writing this was kind of hard, and while I thought about things I don't do, it requires that you also think about all the things you do as well.  So here is my list of 10 things I don't do...

1. Scrapbook…No way, no how, this isn’t going to happen. I have a baby book for both kids, neither of which is filled out. In fact, if a few pages are filled out, I’ll chalk that up to a win.
2. Crafts. My little known mom secret…I.HATE.GLUE. and glitter, paint, and anything else messy. I feel like I can’t keep up with our everyday messes, so crafts are mostly done at school or the babysitters, where someone else cleans them up! I did buy a craft for us to try and do on a rainy day this summer. Wish me luck!

3. Read the comics, they’re just not funny.

4. Dust my house…See, I’m being honest about what I don’t do!!! Let’s face it, I guess it happens sometimes, it’s just not done often!

5. Take my make-up before bed…I know, I know, sometimes I splash water on my face. Doesn’t matter, I won’t do it anyway.

6. Buy cereal, pasta and snacks foods at full price. EVER. I ran out cereal recently and no sale. So the kids ate other foods. I know, totally crazy.

7. Maintain my car (minus putting in gas)…I have to draw the line somewhere & so this is the husbands job! I don’t do the oil, washer fluid, etc. Just not gonna happen (before anyone gets all women’s lib on me, I do know HOW to do it, I just don’t!)

8. Wash the windows. This has been on the to-do list for a while.

9. Go regular medical check-ups. Another one I’m working on…I did write the number down the other day. So it’s a start.

10. Sit back & just enjoy a few minutes of quiet time. There is rarely ever any quiet moments in my house, but when there are, I am usually trying to clean something, write something or plan another activity.

  1. LOL My list would pretty much be like yours! We do limited crafts, and if the kids get to paint, it's only in the afternoon when the 3 year old is napping. And, not when dh is around. He didn't put a paint smock on my 4 year old yesterday, and she got paint on her shirt and shorts. Ugh!

  2. Other than the crafts thing with the kids (glitter is permanent part of my floor), I could have written that list! Oh, I'll switch out the crafts with the kids with ironing. I don't iron. Ever. If I can't steam out the wrinkles in my laundry room it can go to the dry cleaner.

  3. Ha! Love it. Would write my own, but you've already written it for me. :) Like Sam... except for the craft thing. And I don't iron either! I'll re-run the load of laundry from the beginning before I iron. Thank goodness for Shutterfly and our yearly photo books for Christmas gifts. That's as close to scrapbooking as I get.
