Olympic Crafts for the Kids

The 2012 Olympics are beginning very soon---get the kids ready to cheer on the USA with some fun Olympic crafts that are super easy & fun for everyone!

Olympic Torch:

Materials: Aluminum Foil, Toilet Paper Roll, Red & Orange Tissue Paper, Glue, Tape

Cut aluminum foil & tissue paper in to squares, wrap aluminum foil around the toilet paper tube, tape the ends down.  Glue tissue paper to the inside of the toilet paper roll.

Olympic Flag

Materials: White Paper, Can, Paint (red, yellow, green, brown, blue), dowel rod (optional)

Dip the can in various paint colors & put on the paper.  If you want to use the dowel rod, wrap the paper around it & tape down.

Olympic Medal

Materials: Paper plate, crayons, rope/yarn & glue

Have your little Olympian color their own medal!  We taped the string on the back of our plate to make it hang!
