Non-Traditional Date Night Ideas

Incase you missed it...

My husband and I love to try new restaurants but really hate the movies.  Our date nights usually involve us going out to eat and then coming home because we don't know what else to do.  A friend of mine suggested this would be a great blog post~so I asked for suggestions and here are the answers plus a few of my ideas.  Let me know if you have more, I'll add them to the list!

  • Helium club in philly it is a great comedy club tickets are pretty reasonable
  • Chaddsford Winery has wine tastings for a good price. They have an outside seating area where you can sit and enjoy a wine you may have purchased or the drinks they serve.
  • Batting Cages
  • Driving Range
  • First Friday in Philly
  • Pack a lunch and go for a walk & picnic in the woods
  • Chanticleer Garden in Wayne
  • Sheraton hotel, nice sweet, great resurant called the blue grotto & you can, take it up to the room :)
  • Take a cooking class together
  • Head to a sporting event you both like
  • Harrah's for dinner & playing the penny slots
  • Putt Putt Golf
  • Bowling (I take the kids but I have never gone with my husband!)
  • Head to Borders, have a cup of coffee & just look at the books
  • This summer you can check the concerts in Rose Tree Park for free!
  • My husband and I went to Eastern State Penitentary in Philly and it was awesome!
  • During the summer there are always different summer festivals, check one out like Rose Tree Park!
  • If you want to go out with friends, have the kids go to one house and pay 1 babysitter and then stay at the house without the kids.  You can do a movie night, dinner, just hang out.  Bring food & drinks for a cheaper date night than going out.
