I get sooo many emails and comments when I post pictures of the 1 million ( I think I rounded down too) boxes of pancake mix that I get for free or cheap at the grocery store. Some people are nice and think its great and a few people aren't so nice...they think its too much or I am feeding my family junk. While I make no claim to feed my family the perfect, organic diet, let me tell you, we don't eat just add water pancake mix everyday!
I do like to donate a lot of the items I get for free. For example, have so many disposable razors & pantiliners that I recently donated at church for a women's home. They need it and I get it for super cheap or sometimes free.
For the recent large quantities of pancake mix, they will be shipped to Mississippi and then on to Santa Ana, Honduras. I have a friend that I went to high school with and becasue of the wonders of facebook, found her living in Honduras running a children's home with her husband. They are always in need of supplies and yet again, they need it, I don't and I got it for free so I'm going to be making a shipment. So while many people don't think they have time for coupons or that it won't make a difference, I am here to say it does. Not only am I able to get really cheap to free items for my family, I am able to donate at a level far above what I did when I only cut random coupons.
