Veterans Day Activities

In honor of Veterans Day, I want to take a moment to say thank you.  Thank you to our veterans who have sacrificed so much & thank you to their families as well.  I believe we should honor veterans everyday, not just twice a year, but on days like today it is especially important to recognize their importance to our country.

Here are a few activities you can do with kids, to help them recognize these amazing men & women!

1. Go to a cemetery & place flags on graves. 
2. Write thank you notes to veterans that  you know.
3. Attend a veterans day parade. 
4. Allow your child to shake hands & thank you to a veteran.  
5. Check out the website, VA Kids for ideas & activities to teach children what a veteran is & why they're important.
