Mother's Day Craft Ideas for Kids to Make for Mom, Grandma, or Anyone!

I love crafts! I have been doing crafts with kids for more than 10 years, and I think of myself as a pretty crafty person. Here are some of my favorite Mother's Day Crafts that I have done with the kids. (You can't go wrong with kids' handprint gifts for Mother's Day).

Stepping Stones: Press handprints or footprints in them. Decorate with shells, marbles, beads, etc. Use stamps to put names and dates on. (Easy to do, just follow the directions on the box!)

Coasters: Stamp hands or feet on them with fabric paint.
Write child's name and year on them too.

Foam handprint magnets: Trace handprint on foam, cut them out and stick to a magnet or to a clothespin and then to a magnet. Write child's name and  the year in middle - use a foam sticker, a heart, or a picture in the middle of the hand (I make them every year and display them on the fridge so you can see them getting bigger and bigger.

Thumbprint flowers  or handprints on a glass vase - (I use fabric paint).
Place coffee filter flowers in the vase

Coffee filter flowers: Use regular coffee filters, first color with washable markers (not permanent) then drip or lightly spray water on them so the colors bleed and run into each other if you want.

If you don't want the mess that can go along with the colors running, just form the filter into the flower shape (by folding and twisting). Attach a green pipe cleaner and you have a flower.

Make a bunch and create a bouquet!

CD picture frame: Glue a picture to the middle of  an old CD.
Write "We are a reflection of you" in permanent marker.
Use a clear case as a frame & it will stand up.

Potholder: Put a handprint on it with fabric paint. Write "Mom's helping hand" in fabric paint too.

Flowerpot pens: Wrap pen in green floral tape all the way up to attach a silk flower of your choice. Put marbles, gravel, or coffee beans in the decorated pot or jar to stick the pens into to make them stand up.

Kids picture magnets: Use tacky glue to attach a picture to the back of a large, clear, flat decorative marble, put a magnet on the back when dry. (Don't worry about putting the picture into the glue, it dries clear).

Whisk filled with Kisses: Attach a note with "Whisking you a Happy Mother's Day!"

Happy Crafting and Happy Mother's Day!
