Wilmington Western Railroad was a recent outing that my family took with the MOMS Club of Media. We rented their parlor car, which is a large very roomy train car with plenty of space and seating for around 40 people. This would be the third year that I have taken my kids to this train for the Easter Bunny ride. The experience has been wonderful. The bunny takes its time visiting every car and every kid (no stress of waiting in line at the mall), as well has handing out the ever popular chocolate bunny lollipop.
The ride itself is along a beautiful and scenic route. The kids loved seeing the water and going over the bridges, and I enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful homes that line the track. We pack our lunches and relax for the hour and a half ride. We look forward to checking out the Santa Express during the Christmas season.
The organization runs throughout the year and have a nice picnic grove that they stop at during some of their rides. Definitely a great family adventure any time of the year!
