Last week I read a friends Facebook status, telling her friends that the CADES School in Chester had toys stolen...from children who really need them. I immediately put the information out to my friends as well-through a combined effort and a great deal of generosity of others, the CADES school accept tons of toys! If you took a moment to pass the information on or donate toys, you made a real difference! Please read the email below---and thank you!
Please share this with the parents and friends that took the time to donate toys to our CADES classroom. I am overwhelmed! I was thrilled to hear about the project you initiated to increase the number of toys available to our children. But, when I arrived at the Swarthmore site and saw the number of donations and the types of toys, I was speechless!
As you know, we have two classrooms of 3-5 year olds with various developmental disabilities. Our little ones are working hard to develop skills despite their challenges. With the toys all of you donated, our preschoolers have new ways of exploring, learning, and growing towards their potential. And, this is because of your generosity.
I can't thank all of you enough for responding to Antoinette's request for donations, taking the time to bring them in, and showing such an interest in supporting our preschoolers. The staff are thrilled, the kids are thrilled! Please know you have made a difference for our little ones and we appreciate your kindness.
Sincerely,
Barb Brooks & the Preschool Staff
