The Swarthmore Community Center will be a drop spot for donations for the Cradles to Crayons Martin Luther King Day of Service collection on Monday January 20th from 10am-3pm. Cradles to Crayons provides, free of charge, essential items for school, home and play to children ages birth through 12 living in homeless or low-income situations. To support this collection, we will be having a crayon themed Swarthmore Community Center Playgroup this week where we will read The Day The Crayons Quit and Harold and the Purple Crayon and draw on the walls (on paper on the walls:) with our own purple crayons and also make our own oversized crayon craft.
Feel free to bring your new or nearly new donations for Cradles to Crayons to Playgroup and we will collect and deliver them for you. Click HERE to see their current list of most needed items.
SCC Playgroup meets Wednesdays 9:30-11:15am on the second floor of The Swarthmore Community Center 715 Harvard Ave. Find us on Facebook "SCC Playgroup"
